Bananas not Ninja Turtles

Spring!

We even grew our first bananas, I am feeling very swiss family about it.  These–came right out of OUR DIRT.

They tasted like regular bananas, maybe a little sweeter, creamier.

Today I was helping in Finley’s school and he told some boys, “I can grow anything out of the dirt!”

“Even a pumpkin?”

“Yeah!”

“Even a Ninja Turtle?”

“…Yeah! ….?  Wait, no.  I can’t grow that.”

Now if only we could find some Ninja Turtle seeds.  Someone link me if you have a sweet hook up!

Amy, Oh my~~~Finley is growing like a weed! From my home land in SE Asia, this banana variety is common and thrive in family gardens. Fried bananas were a favorite after-school snack.

Yes, my kids LOVE bananas, we buy so many. I would love to be able to grow in more abundance! What part of SE Asia?

Malaysia – where it is summer all year long. In our small garden, there were various fruit tress including papaya trees, banana and pineapple bushes. For dessert, we would run out to the garden and ‘harvest’ a fruit! Just like yours :–)))

Poppy looks so adorable with her mouth stuffed full of homegrown banana & Finely does look like a lil backyard version of Mowgli! It must be so great to have such a versatile backyard & the ability & skill to grow your own produce from the comforts of your own home!

It’s really coming to life! We planted all these baby trees a couple years ago, it took a lot of time back them, but now we are really starting to enjoy the shade a the more fruit! Thank you
