This morning was Fifth Grade promotion!
We curled hair, picked out a special dress from the closet, ran a brush through the boy’s hair and sat with all the other families. Then they all walked in, single file, shy and excited.

She won a citizenship award and did a special dance with all the fifth graders. We have been singing that song, Brave, all day. “That song makes me feel cool, and happy,” she told us.

Afterwards, we went somewhere special to celebrate with pancakes.

Also, thank you for cheering for us when we announced about adding our sweet little daughter. The adoption process is full of ups and downs, and hearing people congratulate us, and support us, we breathed a sigh of joy, and it helps us keep moving fast! Thank you so much, really.
We have our work cut out for us, but we’re ready!
Now, off to enjoy these blissful first days of summer. Maria is cleaning her room, we’re all playing. I am SO glad she is on break, can’t wait to have her home.
