First Day of BSF

Yesterday was the first day of the new year at BSF!  The kids and I were so excited.  Andrew went with his friends to the mens one on Monday night, but today was our day.

The boys call it ‘pre-cool’ cause it is.  They even got to wear their own backpacks.

Let’s go, mama!
Hundreds of women meet at a church right near our house, and some of our closest friends drive from far away just to be there, everyone all in the same place! #score
(Sometimes while going from discussion groups to main group, we meet and run down to grab a doughnut to eat and sneak in, kinda feels like old times 🙂

There are women from all over the world who come, there are two discussion groups in our local bsf that speak Mandarin, and one Spanish.  BSF is international and meet in countries all over the world!

We met all our little friends at the doughnut shop around the corner to celebrate before we walked over.  This year, Finley is a monkey and Elijah is a Raccoon.  The childcare is run like a real preschool with so many enriching activities, songs, art, story time, I feel so blessed my boys get to go, and it’s all for free.  Last year Elijah’s teacher was the sweetest woman who is now my close friend (who is also adopting, nbd), and Finley has a wonderful teacher too, this year.

Here is Elijah ready for his first day in the Raccoon room, his name on the door.  Sometimes it still gets me that he is so loved and invested in by more than just us.  These teachers are so loving and devoted and tell us they have the best job in the world.

Cheesin up a storm

We all met our new discussion groups yesterday, mine was super sweet and inspiring.  A handful of women were from different parts of the world, Australia and Korea, which I think is so cool.

They boys said they had a great time and Finley fell asleep singing, “Jesus Loves Me,” in his bed.

#WeLoveBSF!!

Cheers to a great new year in the book of Matthew!

Do you do bsf?
