A treasure hidden from the world

No one has seen Mirabel in years, and a number of people have adopted from that orphanage. I’m hoping she hasn’t been transferred yet, as someone said the institution there is TERRIBLE.”  Is what someone told me…

Last night I woke up in the middle of the night, and couldn’t fall back asleep and at that time was able to chat with someone.  She is there now, by that I mean Mirabel’s many roomed orphanage.  Randomly, someone I know is there, at the same orphanage visiting the child she is adopting.  For such a time as this.

“I will find her…” as she and I chatted about the anger and heartbreak of spending so much time in places where we see children being mistreated. And time zones away, we chatted because,

Deep, deep in the back, in the back, back room where adoptive parents don’t go, hidden away are tiny treasures.  Behind a big door they lay in beds, their very basic needs are met.  They don’t get toys or a chance to walk.  They don’t get physical therapy although their tiny bodies would benefit greatly.  No speech therapy, no hugs, no kisses, beds where they lay.

And in that back, back room, a hidden treasure, a tiny little girl with soulful eyes was found, for the first time in a very long time.

And in the picture that was taken you can see that this hidden treasure has a real, little girl in her eyes.  Her body is weak and limp from lack of use, from lack of proper medical care.  Yes, resources are tight in places like these, but my goodness…

As we chatted she said, “Amy, she has so much potential…”

And for the first time in a long time, this hidden treasure, this tiny beauty who deserves so much more was found, not easily, but found.

Petite angelic nose, porcelain skin, deep, soulful doe eyes, a shock of dark, thick, lovely hair and curvy baby arm rolls, just waiting to be cherished, or even just to be seen.

With yellow hearts dancing on her clothes, she smiles at the one who found her, ready to be seen, ready for so much more.
A sweet, hopeful gleam in her eyes.
“Look at me”
“See me”
“Notice me, I am here

In honor of Kyle, we decided to help, one less child to suffer the same fate.  Not knowing how hidden, and how much in need was this treasure.  Not knowing that for such a time as this a helper would be set to action, to investigate and find this hidden one when before no one could.

Her birthday is coming up, it’s August 28th she will turn four, next week.  Four is also the age that children in her situation are usually transferred.

“She has so much potential…”  Look into her eyes, you will see it too.

I know that there are so many things we can spend our money on, but I can tell you that a donation to her adoption account will allow a family to adopt her.  And children in families receive the love they deserve, the opportunities to grow, and receive the care they need.

I can tell you that your donation will change her life.  Will bring this treasure out from the hidden back room.

Ways to help Mirabel the hidden treasure

//Donate: Here

//Share the need

//Adopt

//Pray for her family to find her, pray for her heart

If her grant reaches $7,000, a family who is already adopting from her country could add her onto the adoption with the costs covered.

“We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread, but there are many more dying for a little love”
-Mother Teresa

    The grant is over 7,000! Does that mean the family will adopt her?

    She is just gorgeous. We hosted a boy from her same region this summer. If I could get my reluctant husband on board I would go get her in a heart beat along with our host boy. Praying that a family see’s her and falls in love!
