Oh be still my heart.
One, the sweet little girl in purple, was given back after being adopted by a Russian family at age 5 when they found out she has learning disabilities, “I just want to go back to my family, I love them.” And the beautiful 16 year old at the end who cries because she’s given up on the hope for a family even though she desperately wants one.
I think maybe the hardest part is the beautiful boy in a wheel chair with the bright face has a Reece’s Rainbow family, who can’t finish and get him because of the ban.
….Russia, you are so blowing it right now, these kids are begging for families.

How sad. Praying fiercely… this just makes me so angry.
So I’m a little confused, I thought the ban wasn’t going to affect currently adopting families because it activates in 2014, not immediately? At least that is what I saw recently? Did things change again?? 🙁
Unfortunately no. Only those who had passed court and were in a 30 day wait period could bring theirs home. No one else anywhere in process can proceed.
Such a sad situation. Those faces are so full of hope.
THATS OUR BOY!!! praying non stop…
Absolutely heartbreaking and gut wrenching!
I also follow a family blog by Jean. If it helps any, she posted on how it is to live with a child who is HIV+. The information is very helpful for someone who may be interested in adopting “Iris” but is holding back due to the HIV diagnosis.
Jean’s website is: theresnoplacelikehome-family.blogspot.com
“There is no place like home” – they have adopterd 11 children from China!
