We painted in the boys’ room, got some things done, and went on a hike.
Once home, we heard some live music from down the street.
We loaded Finley in the stroller and headed town to a huge block party with so much food, kid bike races and so much fun!
“We live one street up,” we told them.
“You gotta come back for Halloween, it’s HUGE! Have a hotdog or hamburger,” they said.
We felt like we were in the midwest. A nice man gave Finley this plastic car from his house, which is perfect because now Elijah will have one, too. They can have races.
Also, I found out my friend from church lives on this street with her husband and two year old son, so fun!

We watched out first 4th July Parade, which my son George took part in, then ate far too much food at a BBQ at our house with some friends!
Back to normality and the mountain of ironing I need to wade through before I fly to the UK on Monday…I have already got my daughter on the lookout for appropriate cold weather clothes to bring back for your next Russia trip – so hopefully I will have an extra case full when I return on the 25th.
Love that Maria is being tutored in english. I hope she teaches you guys some Russian as well.
