Chalk mama

This is an orphan in Eastern Europe who drew a mama on the hard floor with chalk so that he could curl up in her flat arms and at least in his heart pretend she is holding him.

It just breaks my heart.

It brings back all their faces.  Their smiles and their tears.  Their outstretched arms longing for forever.

Accustomed to rejection and loneliness.

I know we all have these great lives out here and all, but please.  Please think about adoption.

Children weren’t made for institutions.  And they know it.

Amy…dont seem to have your email with me here in the UK, so I thought a message here would be ok.
I have bought woolly tights today, hopefully enough to make a difference, and hoepfully they will all be of a size to fit the children. I have 6pairs age 5 to 6. 12 pairs for age 7 to 8 and then 6 pairs for 9 to 10 years…making 24 pairs in total…i tried to bear in mind what you said about the children being quite small in size, so hopefully it will be right….if not let me know pretty quickly because tomorrow is my last day here before flying home on wednesday!

    Lou 🙂
