It’s weird, but we really love it…
The Amber Teething necklace.
All of the tiny’s little girl friends had them, so we most definitely did not.
‘The oils in the amber beads sooth the babies and helps with teething pain,’ they told us.
“YEAH RIGHT!” we thought, as we said, “Cool.”
But then, while out and about the tiny exploded in a mess of snot and tears, his poor gums swollen and red. We gave him tylenol that night to help him sleep, then the next night. By the third night of tears, and snot and wanting to medicate him, we decided to try the dang necklace. What could it hurt?
He hasn’t had a teething problem since. And he’s getting his molars.
But here’s the kicker. Last week we went swimming in our friend Kahtleen’s jacuzzi and I took his necklace off becuase they aren’t supposed to get wet. I lost it in the diaper bag, and he went to bed without it.
That night, he did something he hasn’t done for months and months and months.
He woke up three times in the night, crying. THREE!
I seriously wasn’t expecting it. “Where’s that darn necklace!?” I mumbled as I pawed through the diaper bag. I slipped it around his neck, and he didn’t wake up again that night.
