Anniversary Vacation–and posting bail

The next morning, we put The Tiny into the stroller and headed down the curved path, under the tall trees, freckling us with bits of light escaping through the leaves, over and across the street to breakfast.

We had a relaxing breakfast of pancakes and a breakfast burrito, the tiny crunching cherrios as we gazed across the landscape, already beginning to be warmed up by the passing morning’s sun.

We toured around the greens, took our time, no place to rush.  We lounged in the grass, and picked pointed, tender grassblades between our finger tips while cherishing our time together.

After a while, we meandered on home to our cabin, just in time for a little boy to take a nap in his pack and play.  Andrew and I shared a set of head phones and watched the movie, “All The Pretty Horses,” on the bed silently, and loved it.

After naps, and a half finished movie, which had us on the edge of our seats, or bed, we slapped on our suits and headed to the pool, where The Tiny was promptly complimented on his swimming skills.

We met some of the nicest international families at the pool:  France, Korea, Spain and Japan are where they came from to soak in sulfur.

After the pool, we loaded up the car to Julian for an Italian dinner and some authentic apple pie.

We had such a rich view of the countryside on our way home, as The Tiny snoozed in the back seat, and the mama and papa held hands.

Now this picture I am not so sure you’re ready for.  Be prepared.  It cost us a pretty penny to bail him out.
