My best friend married Andrew’s best friend. How cool is that? It took a lot of work on my part, but that’s another story for another day.
Three weeks ago they went to Italy for a babymoon; Finley’s got a cute little girlfriend coming the beginning of September. (Yippee!) The first Friday night after they departed on their pasta vacay, we both pulled out our phones to call them, forgetting that we can’t have our usual Friday night…
But they had fun, not that we care. (jk)
BUT! Now they are home! They are so sweet and wanted to take us out to dinner for my birthday, but I told them none-doing. I would be cooking a home cooked meal for them. I made BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, sweet potato fries and spiced green beans. (I may or may not be reading, The Help, which is set in the South, which affects my culinary endeavors.)
Most of all, Finley was SO excited to see aunti Jess and uncle Joe and to have them back home.
“Joe, you really have to listen to me, otay? I missed you, but I hope you had fun.”
“I’M SO GLAD TO SEE YOU!!” -FINNICA
And guess what I got? A beautiful, red leather purse that smells like the heart of Florence.
Thanks guys, and welcome home! Thanks for bringing an Italian cold home too! 😉
