One reason I like to make baby food

So I bought a sweet potato, and a jar of sweet potato baby food.
I baked it.
Mixed it up.

And just about ran out of storage space for my fresh baby food.
I even took a picture to compare.

In other babyfood news.  I have been getting creative.  I come up with combinations of foods
that either sound good, or just because it’s what’s in the fridge.
In my brain, I believe feeding The Tiny purees of:
Avocado Mango
or
Tofu Apple Carrot
  or
Green Bean Banana Oatmeal
Will make it more unlikely that he will be a picky eater and will eat with gusto whatever it is I set in front of him for all his life.
Am I having wishful thinking?
I’ll tell you in a few years.  In the meantime, The Tiny’s favorite food as of current is Asparagus.

What a little sweety! He is so gorgeous. I am heading back into the baby phase myself and definitely want to do my own foods for baby this time.

I’m a baby food maker too. Your combos sound tasty and I’m sure you little man loves it. My baby is almost 9 months so I’m introducing chunkier food. Right now her fav is spring green “risotto”. It’s pulsed, cooked, jasmine rice, asparagus, green beans, and peas. Then I usually stir in some chicken or veggie stalk and serve warm.

This may sounds really silly…but is it cheaper to make baby food? It had never even occurred to me that someone could make baby food…how neat!

A lot of my friends are having their first children so I am new to the baby world and I am being introduced to cloth diapers and everything else.

I absolutely love making baby food too! When they get a little older I use to make mine a simple cheese sauce and star noodles and freeze them along with a little simple red sauce with alphabet noodles and freeze them in little servings!!
