Wanna know a secret? I may have the cutest nieces in the whole world.
I know, don’t tell anyone, people get all huffy about it, but it’s true.
So, our little sweet cheeks (literally, look at them!) Andee just turned 1 in April and Andrew and I wanted to give her a truly special gift. I love etsy, I honestly think you can find unique, high quality, and handmade gifts from neat people.
I started poking around through etsy, and thought how cute a personalized doll would be. I was SHOCKED at how expensive they were after I typed it into the search bar. As I perused, my cute doll idea started to fade away in the moonlight, but I kept hitting the “next” button to see what other random items etsy had to offer. (And I do mean random, sometimes 😉
Then, I saw another one of those precious, but expensive dolls on a page way in the back. “Oh you again! What are you doing way back here, you tease! You’re so cute, but I just can’t afford a $55 dollar dolly–wait a minute!…”
This lil’ sweety doll was so cute–yet so affordable. “Where am I? What happened?”
“ANDREW! I FOUND IT! I FOUND ANDEE’S PRESENT!”
“Cool babe,” he said out of the corner of his brush and toothpaste filled mouth.
“Oh my gooooosh, I’m so excited! It’s a little dolly with cupcakes and her NAME on it!””
“Oh sweet,” (spit).
So I emailed her. “HI! I would LOVE one of your dollies for my precious nieces….but I need it to get to her in like……3 days” (Ever the good planner)
She responded: “Ok! I think I can make that happen!”
YES!
Two things I loved about her site:
1. ALL proceeds go to their ADOPTION! Yay for orphans being ransomed and getting into families!
2. As I looked through her etsy site Craft Creations I started seeing more things I liked. Good thing we know so many girl babies. (Did I mention The Tiny is the one boy birth of 2010 and 2011 of myself and all my friends, and there was a pretty big baby boom. He’ll have his pickin’s I guess 🙂
Ok, so here are a couple of my favorite girls things:

I love it. I am God-smacked to read that the proceeds of this ladies sales are going towards adoption of orphans. My youngest is praying for us to adopt a baby – today he wanted me to buy nappies (diapers) in the shop. I am excited to see what God has in store here.
I do love the dolly – just divine! xo I am loving your blog – it is blessing me xo

I lovey, love, love this post! How special for you to give HUGE props to my Etsy store and our efforts to raise money for our adoption!!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write about Andee’s new dolly!
BTW, your nieces are pretty darn adorable!!!
P.S. Looks like Andee’s dolly is getting a cooking lesson! All dolls need one!
Wow, that Andee girl sure is pretty cute! I mean, wait, did I just say that? I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist. =) I just went and read through some of Kathleen’s blog and looked at some of her things for sale…awesome! I love this…a gift with a purpose. Thank you for Andee dolly…she’s currently baking in the oven again. =)
Oh cute funny post! A gorgeous little relative you have there, and the doll is very cute – I can see why she might think it would make good eating! And I was swooning over the embroidered ‘caroline’ bag.
SOOOOOOO Cute!! I love them!

Hi, I just wanted to tell you i got your blog link from a friend on FB. I am in Kiev, on my 3rd and last adoption trip with not much to do, and not much to read so I am in heaven with your blog! We have similar writing styles (sadly, your blog is funnier) so in our down time i have been enjoying reading it. As much as i love kiev, i am getting a little bored, so thank you!
