Homemade Dairy Free Pizza!

So dairy and I are no longer talking.

It was an abusive relationship, but I just kept coming back for more.

“Aw, babe, I’m sorry, it won’t be like that next time.  You know I love you, and you love me, let’s try it again.”

And like any fool, I came running back each time.

Pizza

Ice cream

Milkshakes

Burritos

Sour cream…OH MY!  My love and desire was strong!

It wasn’t until it started affecting The Tiny’s little stomach as well, that I knew I had to call it quits.

It was hard at first, a bagel with cream cheese would teasingly blow me a kiss in the wind.

Coffeemate at church on Sunday would give me a flirty little wink.

But I stood strong–and suprisingly, I love it!  I have found such GREAT substitutes for dairy, and have actually found that cutting out dairy actually helped me to lose a little more of that baby weight.  (Who knew cutting out ice cream, pizza and cheese out of burritos would help kick out the fat? 😉

Ok, so here’s one little recipe of Hawaiian Pizza with no dairy, and P.S. it’s GREAT!

Feel free to make your own pizza, dough, or buy some.  I love baking bread with yeast, but I don’t bother with pizza dough, so I store buy.  Then grab yourself some canadian bacon, pinneapple and VEGGIE CHEESE!  *Lactose free!  Melts great!  Calcium! No transfats!*

Next roll out your dough, and if you can find a cute guy, have him flip it above his head, and tell you that “airating” the pizza dough before you put anything on it helps the steam to escape while cooking.

Say, “Ok honey!  You’re so smart!”

Then that same honey will help you spread the tomoto sauce!  “I used to work at Hungry Howies!”

And VOILA!  Talk about a perfect meal for a movie night in, or a lazy Sunday afternoon lunch!

You might get a mean facebook message from dairy trying to make you feel guilty or something, but by then you won’t even care, cause this pizza is scrumptious!

Do you have any good non-dairy tips?  I need ’em!

xoxo

Yum! Good job! We aren’t eating dairy either. I am learning all sorts of things – how to make different nut milks (so, so good), and I am getting ready to start venturing into nut cheezes too! I have made some killer desserts, all raw, and we too are thankful to be leaving behind the abusive dairy relationship!

ooooooh lala. nice blog. greek yogurt is lactose free! goes great in a burrito:-) you might do fine on raw milk and cheeses because they are filled with beneficial bacterial that help the bod to digest lactose better. how do you do with kefir and reg yogurt? -the real stuff, like the plain whole milk variety?

Almond milk! Love it! I’ve made my own, which is more flavorful and healthier, but almonds are pricey so it’s cheaper to buy. Vons keeps giving me coupons at checkout when I buy it there. Also, yeah, Greek yogurt!
