Here are the pictures from Poppy’s third birthday party.
ALL the rainbows. ALL the ponies.
You guys, I kept it small. I limited the guests, it was going to be small but special, and 100% stress free, naturally.
In her own words, she called it her, “PON BIR-DAY” and would stomp her feet as her whole face eclipsed with smile.
Let’s also all forget that just before everyone arrive I made it clear to Andrew that “We are never throwing a child’s birthday party again,” in hushed tones as he nodded in agreement.
And to be honest, looking at these pictures, I have forgotten that I said that, and all I remember is how wonderful it was. Because it WAS!
And everyone came, and it was magical, and Poppy about burst with happiness, which seeped into all of us, and after we were all stuffed on pink cupcakes and filled with food, we all sat around and smiled while the kids tore around the yard just before the night came.
And we all felt Poppy’s magic and joy at her special day.

This was how Poppy felt throughout the day.

Waiting for the first guests to arrive, seeing them come!

“WHO IS SEEING THIS!?!” -Poppy

Daddy was jimmy rigging the pinata as the kids lined up.

Poppy was a natural

Poppy even had her first sleep over with her friend Treasure and the girls were TOO cute together.

Happy birthday sweet girl, we love you to pieces.
We love you SO much, maybe we’ll even throw you another party sometime, perhaps a year or two from now. Maybe even with a profesh princess or a pony ride, and one of those cakes that I found on Pinterest instead of $1.29 cupcakes I made myself! Either way, you’ll be celebrated for being the happiest, sweetest girl around who we could not love more!
xoxo

Wow. That wasn’t a party. That was a PARTY!
Happy birthday, Poppy! I’m so glad you were born. <3
Lol! Thank you!
Aaaw! Happy Birthday Poppy! ❤️Those are the cutest photos. Poppy looks like she could burst with happiness!
You did a great job with the party. I nearly want a rainbow unicorn themed party myself! My Mum had a rule of one big birthday party per kid per childhood! Mine was when I turned 7. I had a butterfly cake that I chose myself and I wore a pink dress & pink ‘princess’ shoes and I felt so special. Still remember it fondly nearly 30 years later! And we weren’t totally deprived the other birthdays either. We often had our 2/3 closest friends over for cake & a small ‘party’ but I think my mum felt like you about the decorations & games & the fuss!!!
Oh wow, I could just feel how special that was. What an amazing memory, your mom sounds like a special person <3
So cute! So so cute.
When is her birthday? I remember a post that you made a while back where you all realized her birthday was being read wrong, because most countries outside of the US write their dates differently than we do – but for some reason I was thinking it was June? Or is her bday like October 6 instead of June 10?
haha. Either way.. looks like a lovely time!! She is such a gem.
Hah, good eye. Yes, this was back in June, but my computer has been broken until now 🙂
I love the decorations, pinata, and cake – they are all so cute. It looks like it was a fun party. Thanks for sharing!
