DDR Prime and Speech Improvements

A friend of mine who has two sons with Down Syndrome told me about DDR Prime oil blend, and how it helps with speech in children.

Speech?  I got a couple of kids who need that, stashed it in my cart without much waiting.  SPEECH!

“Just one drop along their spines in the morning.”

Done, didn’t think much more about it.  These oils have done more for us than I could ever explain, I know their potency and rely on them for so many needs.

Elijah has been in speech therapy for 2.5 years.  We also wish Maria was in speech therapy, but haven’t found the right spot for her yet, although we did try singing voice lessons, her teacher trying to get her voice out her the raspy range, one that many of the kids in her orphanage had, I don’t know why.

I ordered the DDR prime, it was a bigger bottle than anything I had received from doTerra before.  I started in that morning, one big drop on along each of their spines while they ate breakfast, just before I put InTune on everyone’s necks.  #MagicPotions 🙂

The next day in the afternoon Elijah told me, “Mommy, I feel very well.”  I remember laughing as his proper English, then my mind flashed to the DDR prime.  There was no way to know for sure if this well spoken, clear sentence was already results from the DDR Prime, or not, but it did strike me as odd.  I continued applying DDR Prime pretty regularly, at least every other day to both kids in the daily morning routine.

We saw a speech improvement in both of them.  BOTH!  At the same time.  Maria’s voice has RARELY been raspy since we started using it. It’s clear and bright.  We haven’t had her practice her voice CDs once since we started.   I consider often if there were other influences that could be adding to these speech improvements we are seeing, in some ways there is no way for me to know if it was this or other influences, but what makes me think the DDR Prime has been a powerful source of speech help is that it has been in BOTH kids, not just one, and other people see the difference as well, not just the hopeful parents.  Elijah’s speech teacher noticed a difference before I told her about the DDR Prime.

Two weeks in, Elijah’s speech teacher was raving to me about how well he was doing, new words, but more so he was using his whole voice, which he sometimes turns off (you can see him talking, but if you were to touch his throat, there would be no vibration, he’d turn off the talking box in there)  He had stopped doing that, for the first time since he’d been home.

(He also had a HUGE growth spurt after we started using this oil….HUGE, eating a ton, and when I measured him he had grown an inch since February)

I can’t say it will work for everyone, but as I researched online, it seems like it works for LOTS of kids, there are moms raving about this stuff, how did I not hear about it sooner?

The purpose and function of DDR Prime is this:

ddr

Lots of people using it for many different reasons and having great results just like we did.  Had I known about this sooner, I could have saved some time and money driving to voice lessons last summer 😉

We are HAPPY over here about this stuff and we started using it on us and Finley has well once we learned the health and cellular benefits of DDR Prime.

I am excited to share with you guys, if any of you have little ones who need extra help in the areas of speech, I’ve also read many raving reviews on how it effects children with aspergers and Autism.

Find DDR Prime here .  Look under the category Wellness, then Cellular Health, and voila!  It’s a 30mL bottle, meaning double the normal amount you normally receive in a bottle of oils.

Would it be to much trouble for you to type up a list with each of the blends and their recommended usage and benefits?? Like as a PDF download. We have a critically ill little one on hospice care after a rough battle with cancer and we are trying to get her off so many of the zombie inducing meds she is on and try to heal her holistically. She is tube fed formula but I want to switch her to a blended diet of whole rich foods and i want to start using oil on her. She no longer has cancer, but was left with brain damage from treatment.

Her doctors gave up on her long ago but we haven’t and I truly believe she isn’t being helped by all the pain meds and other neuro meds for seizures and this and that and the other. I think she is just lacking the nutrients and such she needs and so I want to try new things with her!

    Thank you!!!

look up kickercancer – season johnson has a son fighting, it might be helpful

I totally agree with your comment, which is why we’ve been investing so much energy and time into ‘teaching’ this skill….years. And years. Which is also why, although I trust in these oils, I was so surprised to see the results we did, and I tried to think of other factors that could be influencing the change we were seeing. But since it was both kids, and in the same time frame, and such a large amount, we are contributing it to the DDR Prime.

    Hi Amy,

I have a son with Down syndrome and we use many essential oils for him as well as our other three children. I have never heard of an oil helping with speech so I was excited to read this post! I was curious if you dilute your DDR blend or use it neat?

    Thank you,
    Whitney

P.S. We are also adopting and awaiting our travel dates:)

i had the same question. we have ddd prime and didn’t notice a markable difference in the time we used it; however, it was diluted. curious if trying it neat might be more significant.

I’d be interested to know, if you try tell me 🙂

    • tinyteam January 9, 2016, 9:43 am

HI! We do not dilute this oil at all. People have different thoughts on this though, the only oil we dilute is Oregano, but our children have not shown any sensitivity to oils in the past. If you have any questions about it, maybe start with dilution, and eventually try it NEAT (Mostly because it’s easier 😉

Exciting about your adoption! Blessings to you!

I went to the dōTERRA convention this year in September 2017 and they described that it is always better to dilute the oils when using them for therapeutic purposes topically. The reason is that the molecules in the oil evaporate faster when applied neat versus when applied with an oil that is high in medium-chain fatty acids like fractionated coconut oil. The oil helps it to absorb into the skin faster and stay longer. I had no idea about this and have now changed my regimen. I hope this helps. 🙂

My granddaughter has been having trouble at school crying and cant tell why, she just gets overwhelmed she still walks on tiptoes, paces back and forth, rocks , sensitive to bright lights and loud noises. Will this help?

    • tinyteam January 9, 2016, 9:45 am

Wow, sounds like SPD, but I am not sure, poor thing. This oil can help for many things, so I’d be interested to see the results and how it helps her. Let me know if you try it for her how it helps. One of my sons has SPD and it helps him.

      Hi this sounds like ASD

Hello. I just stumbled upon this article as I was researching oils to take on my mission trip to Guatemala. I have been purchasing DoTerra oils and trying to get familiar with their benefits as I am going back to school to be a COTA. My oldest son is 24 and he has down syndrome. I ran directly to my cabinet and gave him one of the DDR Prime capsules. Within the past few months, he has started stuttering. I am curious if your friend that has the two sons with DS would be willing to contact me (or I could contact her) with any other oils she uses with her boys and the benefits she has seen. I am open to any suggestions! 🙂 Thank you so much!

    • tinyteam January 9, 2016, 9:47 am

Yes of course, email me: amy@tinygreenelephants.com and I will put you in contact with her. She is pro at DoTerra, too so she would be a great resource.

blessings to you and all you are doing in your life <3

Hi Amy, I’ve followed you and your beautiful family for many years now. After reading of some of your successes with oils I’ve started using them.

I’m in Australia and using Young Living oils, I know there is tension between the two companies, so hoping to avoid that, but wondering if there is an equivalent YL oil to this one you have mentioned. I have a 4yo who has major speech delay, and I’d love to give this a go.

    Thanks
    Colleen

Hi Colleen! I wish I knew the answer for you but I’m not familiar with that company.

  • Susana Dyck February 21, 2017, 5:38 pm

Hi, I ordered DDR and frankincense for my daughter 14 months. Is she to young to start using these oils?

    • Fenni March 19, 2017, 12:57 am

I also got the same question with you 🙂 i used DDR prime and Frankincense for my 16 months son. Is he too young to use this oil?

      • tinyteam March 23, 2017, 4:22 pm

Great question! It all depends; DDR prime is a mix of oils and some children have sensitivities to some oils, others don’t. On my kids, I would use it for ages 1 and up mixed with coconut oil, but that’s because we have a lot of experience with oils and know how it works on their skin and with their bodies. I would say do your own research and tests and go from there!

How to use this oil on my 4 year old son , do I need to apply on feet or spine?

    • tinyteam August 24, 2017, 9:40 am

We have found success with application on the spine

  • Lori July 15, 2017, 7:12 am

I Goggled “DDR Prime and autism” because I began giving it to my son, figuring ‘it wouldn’t hurt’ and I have noticed a huge difference in his communication. I wanted to see if anyone else had the same experience. I give my son the the capsules as he can be picky about being touched (I love the In Tune in the socks idea!! I think I’m going to do that!!)

    • tinyteam August 24, 2017, 9:41 am

Yay Lori! So happy to hear it, it’s amazing, isn’t it? I have two that are picky about being touches to, I do a quick swipe up their spines. I hope you all continue to thrive!

    • Angel November 11, 2017, 7:21 pm

Just curious about your son’s progress. How old he is? And how did you use the oil . Dilute or neat? My son is non verbal and he is 4 year old. Could you please suggest me? What and how did you use this oil?

  • Blessings Mom August 30, 2017, 6:01 am

Somewhere online I read to dilute it with a carrier oil & Frankincense. I’ve been using this on my Autistic child that way for about 6 months now have I been doing it wrong? Also can I put it in a diffuser overnight in her room & get the same results.

    Hi,
I just got my first bottle of DDR Prime Oil and planned to ingest a few drops each day to see if it would aid in my “cervical” health. I’m always getting abnormal paps. Anyways, the taste is so bad but I read you placed it on your child’s spine. How did you know where to put the oil? Do you have any recommendations on where I should apply it to help my situation or does it matter? Thank you and so glad to hear it’s worked so well for you/your family!

  • Angel November 11, 2017, 12:28 pm

Hi Amy, could you please suggest me how Can I put this oil to my 4 years old son, who is diagnosed with Autism. And doesn’t say any single word. Should I dilute ddr prime with some other oil or neat? He can’t let me touch his feet, so how should I apply on his feet. And in a day, how many times should I apply ddr prime oil. Need help please!!!

  • Van June 4, 2019, 10:40 am

Hi…I would like to find out. .how often in a day did you apply DDR prime on your kids..I have started using DDR Prime and Frankincense. ..I can see some improvements in my daughter’s speech..but I also notice that she is little bit more aggressive as well..is it something I m applying too much..I dilute the oils with Coconut oil (separately in different bottles) and then apply her 2-3 times a day ..
