Bringing the Babies to a Bar

Some friends of ours are opening a brewery/bar near our house, and when their baby turned one, they had her birthday party there.   As it turns out, it was the ideal spot for little kids; big open spaces, mess hearty cement floors, the food was up on high bars, and nothin’ to knock over with space to run and built in games.

We played some family ping pong
Honestly, balls everywhere

Smacked a pinata
{Finley was really into it, Elijah touched it once, then laid the bat down and ran away}

There was a skateboard ramp, which the kids turned into their own personal roller coaster/slide.

THIS has to be my favorite picture of all time.  How do you print pictures, again?
Brothers on the move

 Also, as luck would have it, there was CANDY in that multi-colored, wild paper horse!  Most kids moved fast to scoop up bundles, but Finley found one and instantly wanted to show us his special treasure, not needing to claim more.

Not sure is this is Finley’s smile, or him realizing he could have gotten more candy…

Finley was trying to ride the broken pinata…

 Sometimes I wonder if we will be building a half pipe in our future, the kids loved playing on just one skateboard, together.

“You wan me to push you, Mawea?”

So next time you see us at the bar with our kids, don’t judge.  We very well may be having the very best time.

    The pinyata made me laugh, my children were always the ones that did that…they never did get the smash and grab thing…???? They would always be the ones standing amongst the rush and scrambling for lollies….and to this day, at our parties…when the pinyata is smashed we have a communal bowl and all the stash gets put in it and divided up afterwards….I never did get over their forlorn little faces at party after party…lol
    Your blog and your journey with your family makes my heart smile, big time…x
