Oh MY!

We have been offered a matching grant of $500 for Iris!

Meaning, if #TeamIris can pull together $500, it will be doubled to $1,000.

If this happens, it would put her adoption fund at just about exactly $10,000….

Which is huge.

It always seems true that the little ones who reach around $5,000 in their adoption funds don’t wait much longer, so maybe because Iris is a bit older, this matching grant will put her at just the right spot.

Ok, I am getting ahead of myself, can we do this?  It could be 5 more people to jump into TeamIris, that would be one way, but even just a $5 donation would turn into a $10 one!

I think when Maria wakes up from her nap, we will put one more scarf on our Facebookpage which will maybe get us that much closer.

We were supposed to be done fundraising at the end of Feb, but this is an offer we just couldn’t pass up.  Hey, it’s better than the casino, it will double your money the moment you enter 🙂

Help Iris meet her matching grant, also spread the news about Iris and her adoption fund.  Perhaps someone is looking for a sweet little girl they can call daughter, someone they can help with school, brush her hair, read her stories, invest in a little life who is so full of love.  Our lives are short, you know?

Help Make Iris’ Life

Oh my goshhhhhhhhh, as matching grant for Iris!

I literally just looked at my expenses and thought to myself, “Where is God going to lead my giving for this week?” Literally. 1 min. before coming to your page for the day. Another $100 to Iris. Let me know if there is anything else I need to do to make sure that Iris gets her match.

I’ve been following your blog on a regular basis, and have loved the updates of your children. It has opened my eyes to adoption in a new way. My husband and I are feeling lead to donate, but have some questions about it first. Where is the money being held for Iris while we wait for a family to adopt her? Will we receive a receipt for our giving?
Thanks for raising awareness for the “older” children in orphanages!

Hi Sarah, great questions, here is the faq page for Reece’s Rainbow that is full of more info than you probably even wanted: http://reecesrainbow.org/faq You will receive a receipt and all donations are tax deductible. Thank you both so much for being open to helping Iris!

      xo,

I don’t see my last comment here–or any of them on other posts, actually– but wanted to let you know that this single mom of a Russian-born daughter, who is currently unemployed, donated what is for us a significant amount.

We don’t need to be thanked. But, we wanted you to know where the money for Iris is coming from.

    Hoping Iris is soon home!

Thank you! And yes, when I would try to publish your comments, they would always not work, sorry!

Pray Iris gets just the right family, and maybe one that lives right by us! 🙂
