Brothers

Do you think these two were meant to be brothers, or what? <3
I always encourage my boys to be helpers to one another, and to look at how happy they make their brother when they are helping him or showing him kindness.
There is a special verse I pray for my boys who are oh so close in age
// Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.//
 Hebrews 10:25
May they be bonded as they grow up together, helping one another, their family and those around them.  May they be more about giving than taking, loving than hurting, now and as they begin forming relationships in the future to come.
May they be inventive encouragers.
And when people ask me how close in age they are,
“7 months!” while I shrug my shoulders and smile, then continue playing.

“Ohhhh….” they respond slowly.

Imagine in 10 years when Elijah is all caught up, they won’t believe they were so different in size!

Amy, can I just tell you that I love your family!? Finding your blog right before you brought your babies home was an act of the Lord. It was one of the most changing things that happened in my life last year. It brought years of seeding the Lord had done in my heart, and birthed a little plant, flower, something! I highlight your posts all the time on my fb page, and tell all my friends and every half interested ear I find about your blog, adopting older kiddos, what could be a more important thing to do?!. Just last night at a girls group I poured my heart out again to a kindred spirit. We are both waiting for our husbands to catch up. But, the Lord has already been moving– providing my hub with a huge job promo that will get us out of debt in the next year, so there won’t be any more obstacles. Thankyou from this crazy NC girl- your boldness and love is doing/has done great, great things. You and your hubby have been HIS hands and feet. You are teaching the rest of us that grace abounds on this teritory of “hallowed ground” that is so precious to our Lord and Savior. Your hands have already stretched far into eternity- I’ve been so blessed through them. Thank you

Oh sweet Jen, your words mean so much to my heart, I can’t even say. Thank you so much. I praise God for the calling he has brought to your life, because I know what a huge pile of joy and goodness it will be in your and your whole family’s life. Not much has brought the same amount of joy, peace, patience (you know the rest!) to our lives. Praying for your little one(s) that will forever be transformed by a family’s love. (Have you seen stuck?)

      Love,
      Amy
