Is adoption important?

To answer, read this story about Katie who has been home a short time from being adopted.  She was 9 years old when she was adopted, and the size of a 9 month old.

Many if not most families would have no want a child like this.

But, Katie’s family said yes.  Her family’s obedience to God led not only to this child coming out of hellish conditions, but also the overturn of a corrupt woman heading the Pleven orphanage who was criminally malnourishment over 250 people in her care, and their family being on the front page of Bulgarian Newspapers.  You can’t help but be in awe when you read this story:

Read her blog post from today.

You never know what saying yes will do.  I don’t think God looks at our ability as much as our availability.

Give yourself fully to God. He will use you to accomplish great things on the condition that you believe much more in His love than in your own weakness.” -Mother Teresa

I know kim, I felt the same. I am often blown away by how much bigger God’s plans are than when we do our own thing. I love their humility in saying they just said ‘Yes,’ and He did the rest. God can do the extraordinary through the ordinary.
