Cowboy First Birthday Party

Finley’s birthday is on the 26th of this very month.  All this November, I have been having wonderul memories of LAST November.  Feeling ready, feeling excited, doing those last minute pre baby preparations.
We decided to have a little party for him at my parents house, Cowboy themed!  Our awesome friend is the GM of a popular restuarant around here and made us and our guests the worlds best BBQ in his own smoker.

A few days before the party, I went on craigslist and searched cowboy party and someone had just had a really cute cowboy party, and was selling all their vintage decor!  Oh man, how perfect is that?

Finley was loving his day.  I think we are just the luckiest people in the world surrounded by an amazing community of people who love us and love our little guy.  I was seriously feeling so thankful that whole day, and so happy that we could feed everyone pretty much the most delicious food we’ve ever had!

“Hi Finley, I jus wanna tell you happy birfday!”

Even little Chloe liked her papa’s yummy food!

Look at this amazing little guitar Finley got!  It even says “Home on the Range” and has cowboys on it!  How perfect is that!?

The cutest little cow kids!

We had lawn games, food and a bunch of toys set out for the kids.  It was seriously so fun and relaxing!

How cool is all this hand made bunting!  It came with the package I bought from craigslist!  It came with hats and labels and bandanas and so much more!  Seriously, it was perfect!

Then it was time for the big cake moment!  We planned to have it just an hour past the start of the party in case anyone needed to leave early.

My amazing friend Kahea made this cake for Finley.  The best part of all?  It was DELICIOUS and SUGAR FREE!  I know a lot of kids have their first sugar on the birthday, bur since he had never had it, we didn’t want to overwhelm him.  Kahea made this amazing cake and cupcakes for all the guests.  Cupcakes were perfect because you don’t need to cut it up, have plates, forks, knives, etc.  It was genius.  Seriously, if you want the world’s best cake for your little on that is absolutely healthy and delicious, check out kmcakery.com.

He seriously loved it.  And loved the attention.

Then we got a professional face washer.

After that we changed him out of frosting clothes and it was time for presents.  Oh my gosh, we were blessed beyond belief!

Finley got toys and books, and couple cool drums, some Toms shoes, a book with our friend’s voices recorded reading it, and so much more!  When we got home, we packed up a bag of all his tiny baby toys and gave them to Elliette!  He also got a cool ‘Y Bike’ which he LOVES!

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he was a drummer like daddy when he grows up.

Baby boy, you are 1!  You are so special and loved, and you are worth celebrating.  God spoiled us by giving you to us!  We love you to the moon and back!

Adorable- would you be willing to resell the items that you used? I noticed that you had found them from someone else’s party…also where did you get his adorable vest? Thanks!
