For the most part, The Tiny is mostly eatin’ finger foods. Steamed broccoli heads, cooked eggs, fruit, green beans, black beans, etc.
“Excuse me sir, but I did not order see-food. Close that mouth!”
But, we still make an oatmeal-y mush for him to eat at least once a day. Sometimes we even stick it in a suction cupped pirate bowl and give him the spoon. He does pretty well. Unless he’s starving. This one time I gave him his spoon and he threw it, while instead mashing two chubby fists into the mush and shoving both fistfuls into his mouth. Yes, apparently that day I was starving my child.
But what is in that mush, you ask?
First is the Happy Bellies Oatmeal. We love it because it’s cheap and has probiotics. I swear this is the thing that cleared up his thrush..
Next up, a few dropfuls Nordic Natruals DHA fish oils. I love giving him this. We used to give him three full syring-fuls in his mouth, and he would drink it down like it was sweet candy. I assumed it must be flavored or something, so one day I tried it. It is legit fish oil. Oil, tasting like fish. Needless to say, I was grossed out. That little happy baby FOOLED ME! Sheesh.
After that, we shake on some brewers yeast flakes. I bought it in bulk at the local health food store, and I was glad we had this shaker that I keep in my pantry for a quick nutrition kick.

We also buy organic, dry black beans, soak them, then mash them up inside the porridge.
