Want some sand with that sand?

Andrew and I used to go the beach with maybe one towel and spend hours and hours swimming, reading, lounging and eating.

We still somewhat lounge, but now it’s under a shade we have to piece together.

Eating still takes place.

It’s that point, when you know you can’t even stop it from happening.  So you just let the sand flow…

Straight down into his stomach.

Luckily, we had an awesome papa with us who is good at taking little boys into the ocean to get all washed off with some salt water. And luckily, our little one loves each wave that comes his way, and each strand of seaweed he can capture in his chubby pincher grasp.

Oh my goodness, this boy.  Such an adventurous eater.

Did you know that Bum Genius diapers are also swim diapers when you take the liner out?  I know right, awesome!  We use them 85 times a week (roughly ;).  And sometimes, I am too lazy to take even the liner out, and it’s still ok.

I really would like to know how much sand that little boy ate.  He still had plenty of room for dinner…I know, what else is new, right?

“Oh mama, you would never believe it!  I caught 2 seaweeds, and found all this great sand.  I meant to save some for you, but I ate it all, I guess…”

With all of the recent shark sightings (I know, freaky.  Sort of) it was nice to see some friendly fins.

Hmmm, it was a nice day.  Shorter than before we had a tiny, but if we didn’t have him with us, some sand might have gone uneaten.

OH my gosh, I absolutely LOVE him! Cutest baby! my mom’s family is all in Florida & we lived there when I was little & she said I’d eat sand too, naaasty hah. There’s something about babies diving into a giant ocean of cream of wheat that must make em hungry!
