A Pink and Turquoise Baby Shower (and a give away!!)

Pink streamers, happy laughter, pink lemonade and almond champagne flowed through the rooms of the Pannikin, joyfully ushering in the anticipated arrival of a tiny baby girl who is already oh so dearly loved.

Snipping fresh stems, and dipping them into pool of water suspended inside Orangina bottles.

In my mind’s eye, I envisioned ordering labels for the Izzes with Jessica’s name written in curly letters and a beautiful image that I could stick onto the drinks.  I designed them one morning and when I hit ‘order’ it told me the estimated arrival sate was one week after the shower.  I kissed my dream away in the wind, until one day at Michaels (“Where you get crap to glue on other crap”-Andrew) I spied a nine pack of blank labels and some rubber stamps.  Good bye ‘estimated arrival time!’  Hello personalized drinks!

The sugary pink Candy Bar–scoop your own favor.  Anything as good as this had to be created by the genius party planning mind of Free Spirit Weddings.  So nice to have talented friends, even when they are the ones whose shower it was for!

Can you believe how blessed and loved this little one already is?  My goodness, poor Jessica opened as many presents as possible in 1.5 hours.  Yes, HOURS!  And she was bookin’ it to.  Always a warm smile and a thank you to whichever person gave her the ballet slippers, tutu, food processor, etc.

Natalie, Naree and I worked our booties off sewing, glueing, frosting, sticking, coloring, baking cooking, arranging, etc.  All because we have the BEST friend in the whole world!

Guess the celebrity baby.  Me, reading off the answers.  People were getting intense.

There’s the preggy with the pretty purple dress.

Some of the best food I have ever tasted.  I LOVE MISS THAI COOK!  She is the best, I would eat the Pad Thai you make every. single. day.

Ok sweet girl, you have everything you need to keep you warm, dry, bouncy and stylish.  We can’t wait much longer, so put on those extra few pounds, have God finish doing the last minute “knitting” in your mama’s womb and get out here!  You are so very loved.

Hi Amy, Jessica just sent me to your site. We were just talking about the banners you made and I would be so thrilled to win them and use them for my sister’s shower next month.
The shower was aaaamaaazing! It’s funny, we took so many of the same shots. Everything looked perfect. The best part was Miss Thai Cook’s food. I’m still dreaming about it and I’m gathering a group of friends to take her cooking class. I really want to make the pad thai and the curry dish she made that night.
    My fingers are crossed.
